BULLDOG GUITAR STRAPS
Bulldog Guitar Straps
was created in 1978 as a wholesale outlet for St Ives Leathercrafts,
based at the Sloop Craft Centre at St Ives, Cornwall.
Within a couple of
years the guitar straps were available in most U.K. music shops
and by direct mail order.
In the 1980s they
were featured on major stars world tours and T.V. appearances, such
as Mike Oldfield, Spandau Ballet, the Cliff Richard Band and Duran
Duran.
They continued to
be available until 1997 when the proprietor, John Grey, decided
to concentrate on the retail side of the leathercraft industry.
With the increasing use
of the internet for retail shopping it was decided to make the straps once
more available to Guitarists and Bass Players, with the added facility
of fixed length non-adjustable straps that can be left on the guitar when
in the case, strap-lock holes, and if required a name can be stamped on
straps from styles D and E.

The straps are all
made from top grade Italian Cowhide in tan, brown or black - custom
colours are also available to special order. The leather is specially
tanned to be comfortable, flexible and soft, but at 4mm thickness
the straps are immensely strong. Buckles are as shown in English
Solid Brass or Spanish Satin Stainless. Raw edges are slicked down
in black or brown.
